Tasting notes & score:

  • Jancis Robinson-16plus/20

“Savoury and appetising nose. Rich and flattering fruity palate. Still very youthful.”

  • James Suckling -92/100
“Very classic Haut-Médoc with tons of blackcurrants and blackberries. Yet there’s rather classic balance with elegant, moderately dry tannins and a long, clean finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. Drink or hold.”
  • Decanter-91/100

“This is a good Cambon in 2016 which has benefited from vineyard replanting as well as other investments. Vines are located close to Du Tertre and you can fell the start of a Margaux-tinged florality and classicism. The tannins close in on the finish and the fruits are dark, tight and vibrant. The best wine for years. Hubert de Boüard is the consultant. Drink 2023-2038.”
