Organic/biodynamic wines are increasing become popular. Father of organic farming Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925), who gave Agriculture Course in 1924, started organic movement. It includes ecological values, emphasizing spiritual and mystical perspectives.

Biodynamics wine are looking to restore "balance" by refocusing on their wine plots(terroir). Today, close to 500 French wine estates use organic farming techniques and figure continues to increase, each year. In France, the certification is “AB” that stands for ‘Agriculture Biologique’. Winegrower replace artificial chemicals with natural substances such as compost which is a mixture ofwet organic matter (also called green waste).  It offers 100% natural treatments, vine planted in line with lunar calendar.

Some of the most famous wine house in the world turning to organic farming such as Chateau Pontet Canet, Bordeaux and also historic domain of Romanee Conti, world’s most expensive wine.
