Chateau Cambon La Pelouse dates back to the 1700′s, when it founded by the Cambon family.It was originally the Seigneury of Lapelouse, owned by the sire of Antiège, the adviser and secretary of the french king. He sold it to Jean de Cambon-Lapelouse in the late 1600’s. During the French Revolution, the estate was seized as a national property, but then returned to Jean de Cambon-Lapelouse.
In the 1970’s, the estate was sold to Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie. The vineyard takes its name Pelouse (Lawn in French) from its early days.
Blend: 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot & 4% Petit Verdot

“Gentle cassis and cherry preserve flavors are carried by light chalky tannins. A floral note runs through the finish.”
