Chateau Chante-Alouette is close to the medieval town of Saint Emilion. The soil is sandy with veins of clay running through it and contributes elegance and softness to the wines.
It was taken over in 1995 by the D’Arfeuille family. Benoit d’Arfeuille gave a new lease of life to this estate by increasing the size of the vineyard and by introducing wine making methods that married tradition and the latest technology.
