Chateau Peyrabon has a history that dates back to the mid to late 1700’s. In fact, the chateau was built in 1766. The wine of Chateau Peyrabon had become popular enough that by the late 1800’s. Chateau Peyrabon is a cru bourgeois and it is situated in Haut-Medoc.
Its current owner Patrick Bernard, since 1998, has produced excellent wine on gravel terroir, which is now definitely among Cru Bourgeois standard exhibiting a distinct class.
Blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc and 27% Merlot
Average age of the vines: 35 years old
